Edit ICML from InDesign

ICML Editor is a free tool to edit ICML files, useful for translating InDesign (INDD) documents. Export text from an INDD document to ICML format, open the ICML file in ICML Editor, make changes, and export back to ICML. Place the edited ICML file back into the INDD document to keep all formatting intact.

  1. Export the text from the INDD document as ICML.
  2. Open that file here and edit each text segment. Drop the file anywhere on the page.
  3. Export ICML and place it back into the INDD document.

Translation runs with your own xAI API key, kept in this browser tab. The file stays on your device until you choose to translate.
